Big Ben
Big Ben is not only a popular London attraction but it is also a globally renowned landmark in London. This vivacious place in London is extremely popular amongst the tourists and every year it attracts millions of tourists from all over the world. The Big Ben celebrated its 150th anniversary in the year 2009. The Big Ben, also known as the clock tower is located in the popular region of Westminster and is just a stones throw away from the Westminster tube station. The tourists are though not allowed to visit the tower from inside but, it still a crowded London attraction. The tower dazzles during the time of Christmas as it is decorated with lights. It is by far the largest four faced chiming clock and the 3rd tallest free standing clock tower in the world.
The Big Ben is actually the great bell at the clock tower and not the clock tower itself. You can also see a unique light placed at the top of the clock, this light illuminates when the parliament is in session. The four chimes of the tower also illuminate every night which makes the Big Ben even more beautiful.
