British Museum
Established in the year 1753, British Museum is one of the busiest museums in London. The museum is divided into several departments such as Ancient Egypt and Sudan, Greek and Roman Antiquities, Coins and Medals etc. The collections at the museum displays more than seven million objects that includes a wide variety of dried plants, manuscripts, natural specimens and much more. It is amongst the most popular London attractions and attracts millions of tourists from all around the world. The collections at the British Museum demonstrate the culture of England since the beginning. A wide range of coins, books, paintings and gems can also be explored at the museum.
The library at the British Museum is also extremely popular. The ancient artifacts from Greece and Rome are also one of the major attractions at the museum. Several exhibitions are also organized at the museum. Some of the astounding glass objects that are a part of the collection are more than 3000 years old. The entry to the museum is absolutely free of charge and you can visit the museum on any day of the week between 10:00 am to 5:30 pm.
