Buckingham Palace
The Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the England’s Queen. It is amongst the most iconic landmarks in the world and it attracts millions of tourists every year. Located in the vibrant area of Westminster the Buckingham Palace is surrounded by several luxury London hotels. This London attraction is well known for its historic significance and charm. It has been the venue for several royal state occasions and events. During the celebrations and national crisis it is a common venue for rallies and demonstrations.
The palace is decorated with exceptional artifacts and spectacular furnishings. You can find a variety of antiques at the state rooms. It hosts 775 rooms which include 188 staff rooms, 19 state rooms, 52 guest rooms and 78 rooms. The grand hall, garden, lake and library at the palace are also a must to explore. The tourists are allowed to visit the palace during the month of July – September as during this period the Her Majesty is on the tour of England. Several magnificent exhibitions are also organized during this time that displays the dresses, photographs, jewels and gifts presented to the Queen. The tour generally lasts for around 2 hours and is also chargeable. The tickets for the Buckingham Palace tour can be booked in advance to avoid the long ques. Experienced guides are also available to assist to during the tour.

A timed-ticket system is operated, with admission every 15 minutes. 9.30am - last admission 4.15pm.
Changing of the Guard: The Guard Change takes place at 11:30am daily from April until the end of June and on alternate days for the rest of the year, weather permitting.
