Christ Church Greyfriars
The Christ Church Greyfriars is a famous attraction in London; it is situated close to the famous St. Paul Cathedral. This church is an Anglican Church, and was destroyed badly in the Great Fire of London and Second World War in London Blitz. The church was restored long after the World War was over, in 1960.
The organisation of church almost decided not to restore the building after the World War, but eventually it was decided to rebuild the church, and several modern technologies were used to build the beautiful architecture and interiors. The building is a Grade I listed building. The church is home to a number of burials of some of the famous personalities. The church was initially a Gothic church but was later converted into a church with English Baroque style.
The church is situated close to the St. Paul’s tube station, Mansion House tube station and Blackfrias tube station. Other modes of public transport are also available to access the church.
