Kew Garden: The Royal Botanical Gardens
Kew Garden, popularly known as the Royal Botanical Gardens are located at the south bank of the Thames River. It is amongst the most visited London attractions and one of the most beautiful locations in the city. The Kew Garden is also called Royal Botanic Garden because ages ago the two estates which now comprise the gardens were owned by the royal family of Britain. You can explore dense gardens, green houses and lawns at Kew. The formal gardens at Kew are well known for offering a stunning and unique variety of flowers and plants.
It is also said that the Kew displays the maximum number of flower and plant collections in UK. It also organizes several exhibitions every year. The gallery house at the Kew Garden is the centre of attraction at Kew. It illustrates the botanical themes through outstanding piece of artworks, paintings and photographs. Grass Garden at the Kew is home to around 600 varieties of grasses. The summerhouse near the lake, popularly known as Queen Charlotte’s cottage is also a must to visit. The Kew Garden is also a renowned centre for botanical research and development.
