Royal Albert Hall
Royal Albert Hall is a popular London attraction specially dedicated to the Annual Summer Proms Concerts. The hall has hosted some of the most famous concerts and performances by some famous artists of classical, ballet, opera, pop and rock music. The hall is also known as Albertpolis in the cultural complex. The hall hosted its first ever concert on the 1st may 1871 by Arthur Sullivan cantata, On Shore and Sea. The hall is an oval shaped and a Grade I listed building. The hall can easily accommodate over 8000 people, however, considering the safety instructions in view the hall cannot hold an audience of more than 5544.
The hall also holds some of the major award functions and communities’ events and charity performances. The hall is well known through out the world and some of the key artists have performed at this place.
This is situated at the Knightsbridge area of the city of Westminster. The hall is easily accessible through public transport. The closest tube station is Knightsbridge, on the Piccadilly line. The hall has a limited parking facility.
