The Design Museum
Founded in the year 1989, the Design Museum is sited in Central London. This popular London attraction is located close to the Tower Bridge. The museum is located at the most sought after locations in the city, near the banks of the river Thames. It is the first museum in the city which is entirely dedicated to the modern design. In fact it is still considered to be one of the most unique museums of its kind. The museum exhibits a wide variety of collections including graphics, fashion, industrial patterns and architecture. It is also a great source of knowledge and information for the designing students and professionals.
It is also a host to the renowned Design of the year awards. The charge of the entry to the museum is around 8.5 pounds per person. The students can however avail a discount of 3.5 pounds and the entry for the children is absolutely free of charges. The museum is just a stones throw away from the Bermondsey London underground. The museum is open from 10 am to 5:45 pm seven days a week.
