Tower Bridge
Tower Bridge is one of the most visited London attraction and was designed by Wolfe Barry and Horace Jones. The tower is sited above the river Thames since last 100 years. It is also a renowned London landmark. The bridge is 197 feet long and can be raised up to the height of 43 meters. The bridge was earlier raised 50 times in a day but now it is raised just 5 times in one week. The view from the bridge is extra ordinary and the entire central London can be seen. The Tower Bridge is within the walking distance from the Tower Hill tube station and it has an easy access through several other public transports also.
The exhibitions held, at the walkways and the engine room of the tower, are also phenomenal and a must watch. You can explore these exhibitions in the month of April – September between 10: am to 6:30 pm. It is recommended to book the tickets well in advance if you plan to visit in large groups. Introductory talks, behind the Scene Tour and evening tours can also be booked in advance.
