Victoria and Albert Museum
The Victoria and Albert Museum is a famous London attraction, located at the Cromwell Road, South Kensington. The museum was founded in the year 1852 and since them it is commonly known as V &A. The museum is named after Prince Albert and Queen Victoria. It is now administered by the department of Sports, Media and Culture. The Victoria and Albert Museum is surrounded by several other museums and art galleries. The collections displayed at the museum includes ceramics, costumes, glass items, ironwork, paintings, sculptures, photographs, furniture, drawings, architectural items and jewellery from several parts of the world.
The entry to the museum is absolutely free of cost and several guided tours can also be booked. You can also explore a wide range of exhibitions at the museum and charges are applicable for some of the special exhibitions. The gift shop at the museum which is well known as the Christmas gift shop, which is also extremely popular amongst the tourists.
